April Winslow - Don't spill that!
The other night at church I was praying, and I had my hands lifted, but my elbows were bent. I felt God tell me to raise my arms all the way up and straighten my elbows. He told me to make a funnel with my arms and hands so that he could fill me. Later on, I began to think more about funnels. What is the purpose of a funnel? I looked at the encyclopedia's description of a funnel and here is what it says:
A funnel is a pipe with a wide, often conical mouth and a narrow stem. It is used to channel liquid or fine-grained substances into containers with a small opening. Without a funnel, much spillage would occur.
I don't know about you, but I don't want any of God's blessings or anointing to be "spilled". I want to make sure I get it all!
Funnels are usually made of stainless steel, glass, or plastic. The material used in its construction should be sturdy enough to withstand the weight of the substance being transferred, and it should not react with the substance.
We must make sure our spirit man is strong enough to hold what God wants to give us, and we don't want anything in our lives to cause a negative reaction when God's spirit makes contact with ours!
Next time you raise your hands in prayer, try lifting them as high as you can and making a funnel. If nothing else, God may bless you for the extra bit of sacrifice!
