Some of the fund-raisers were for kitchen knives, cookbooks, calendars, and bake-sales. Several personal donations were also made. We ran out of room and needed to tear out the back wall. This would open up the sanctuary to the hall behind it. Then New Life saints took large magic markers and wrote their prayer requests all over the back wall. Bro. Greg Dansby took a sledge hammer and made the first swing at knocking this wall down. Soon this wall was completely down and the sanctuary had more space. Then we began the next phase of the building project of remodeling our basement and adding a foundation for a new foyer, bookstore, coffee shop, etc. When we ran into problems we needed $20,000 more than the original estimate.
