Gordon Winslow Jr - Got Purpose?

by Gordon Winslow

Have you ever been sitting in your chair and just pondering this great question? Why am I here? It's a question that no doubt we all have wondered. It really is a great question, because if we could ever find out our purpose for living we could accomplish a lot more.

Success is the offspring of Purpose and Passion.

Some of us would live a lot better if we could find what our Purpose is and then once we discover that we can put our Passion in to it. Notice I said "discover". Your purpose can't be given to you by your family or your friends, not even your pastor can give you purpose. This comes from God and him alone.

How do you find your purpose? This of course is much more than I can write in this setting but here are some helps.

1.
The blueprint is already set inside you

That is right, when God created you he gave you the makeup of your own personal purpose. It doesn't change because of what you have done or what others tell you that you are. God put it in you and that is who you are. So everyone has purpose.

2.
Purpose shows up in desire

So many people ask, well what is my purpose? If you took a look at your desires you would see a glimpse of your purpose. No, not the desires that take you from God but the ones that are of God. For instance, someone who looks at their life might see that throughout their lives they had a desire to work with children. Maybe someone has always had the desire to work in music. For some people it will be obvious and for others it will be very subtle.

When you look at where your desire is, often that is the place of your purpose. The fact that you have that desire is because God has put in you a Purpose and that is affecting your desire.

So for now take a look at these two keys in your purpose. One, God put it in you. Two, take a closer look at your desires. They often are the gateway into understanding our purpose.

Find your purpose and find Joy and Happiness.
