Sis. Debra Pena - Youth Happenings #2
Can you just believe it, summer is ticking by us and before you know it...our youth will be sitting in classrooms again! But for now...we're going to enjoy the moments and make memories.
We have so many good things happening for our youth that it's sometimes hard to stay on top of everything without putting it in writing for everyone to read. So, hope you have a pen handy or just copy and print.
Hope the youth are excited about our 4th of July get-together! First, everyone is meeting at Bro. Chris' house for watermelon and ice-cream and then to the ballpark for fireworks. Later that evening the guys are sleeping over at Bro. Chris' and the girls are going to Sis. Debra's. This is open to every person in the youth between the ages of 12-18. We've got lots of fun things planned. (Hope sleep is in the plans!) LOL!
July 24th, as you all know, Teens 4 Christ will be ministering at Impact in Columbia, MS! We are so excited for this group of youth. I told them just to take a look at the hands that God was using. It's AWESOME!!!
August 7th-9th, Gilbert, Louisiana is hosting C.O.D.E. Conference at Apostolic Faith Chapel, Pastor Bro. Harris. This year Teens 4 Christ has been invited to participate in the Thursday evening service. That's the evening they showcase several drama teams, and we are so excited to be on the schedule!
The church van will be taking and bringing back home any youth interested in going. Even though T4C will be ministering we don't want to leave any youth out. This will be on a first come basis and after we're filled to capacity we won't be taking any more. So, if your youth is interested in going, please see Bro. Chris or Sis. Debra or call 601-618-6137. We'll try to accommodate.
Later in August, Teens 4 Christ hopes to be ministering in Walnut, MS at Bro. Porterfield's church. Again, we would like to extend an open invitation...if seating is possible. Please let us know.
One final note....don't forget. A sign-up sheet for drama skits...not like T4C, but acting, will be placed at the back of the church for those of you interested. We'll have orientation starting up soon.
God bless you all and please continue to lift up our youth. We want God to return and find us busy about our Father's business. Don't you?

Sis Debra Pena - Youth Happenings #1
To God be the glory for the WONDERFUL things HE did for our youth this year at Youth Camp 2008! It has been totally amazing and mesmerizing to watch the power of God manifest the way it did in the altars with the youth. Every night was a fresh anointing and God was sweetly calling. We shall NEVER forget that experience!
The Teens 4 Christ Youth Drama Choir has been invited to open and close the service this year for the Teen Impact services at Woodlawn Pentecostal Church, Columbia, MS on July 24th. We consider the invitation an honor that we don't take lightly. We will be having regular practices and a sign-up sheet for fasting. We totally believe that this is not the time to be slack with the things concerning God.
After much prayer and seeking the will of God, New Life would like to open a new drama ministry TOTALLY geared towards dramas and skits. This is separate from Teens 4 Christ. The youth and teens seem to love this kind of activity and have voiced their desire for this for quite some time. We are going to have a sheet placed at the back of the sanctuary for anyone who is interested in participating to sign up. We will be having an orientation night coming up very soon. So, please let us know if you are interested by signing the sheet.
God is sooooo good and we are so very excited to see what God is doing in the youth of this district. One would have to be spiritually blind not to see this revival. Let's all join in together to do the very best for God...while we still have time. There's so many who are still out there in a lost and dying world. Let's do our part to lead them to the light.
