Youth Happenings #10
Greetings to you ALL in the Wonderful Name!
I know its been a very busy few weeks for several of us but I wanted to take a few moments to give you a youth update.
Today, November 8th, Teens 4 Christ ministered two very anointed songs for Southern Hospice. You could tell all the visitors were blessed. It was a new door for us but it was one that we walked through without hesitation. God blessed and we were very moved to have such an opportunity. We want to say thank you, to them, for asking us.
Starting Sunday, November 9th, we are going to start practicing for our Christmas program. Anyone interested, there will be a sign-up sheet placed at the back of the church. It is open for YOUTH ages four to ninety-four. So, if you'd like to participate in our annual program, please sign up and get your part now. We only have a few weeks to practice, get costumes prepared and be ready.
Also, I would like to find out if any of the youth would like to go Christmas carolling at nursing homes and hospice facilities. If you're interested, please see me ASAP. I'm taking the first ten youth who sign up with me.
Lastly, we will begin a very serious fundraiser in January. We have several things we need to focus towards. We need new uniforms and we would like to have custom-made, black and also gray uniforms with pleated jackets over dresses for the girls and nice suits for the guys. We need loose fitting dresses under the ladies' jackets so that when they raise their arms their blouses don't come out of a skirt.
We've been invited back to Dallas in the Spring and we really need this. Also, we need to finance this trip and we have several other needs in Teens 4 Christ. Without padding our account we can't even attend out-of-town conventions ...etc. So, remember....JANUARY FUNDRAISERS.
Please remember, spend time in prayer for our church leadership and all the families, youth and friends of New Life....also our city. We are truly blessed to be able to do the things we do for God. Without an anointing though, we could never have the doors of opportunity to open for us the way we do. Please, let's stay prayed up.
In God's Hands,
Sis Debra Peņa
